Robert C. Cox
YORK – Robert C. Cox, 81, entered into rest at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy. He was the husband of the late Pallas E. (Frank) Cox.
Born April 23, 1940 in York County, Robert was a son of the late Edward D. and Berdella M. (Miller) Cox.
He retired in 2013 from Winters Performance Products where he was a transmission re-builder and later made quick-change rearends for sprint cars.
Robert was a member of the Viking Club, Rooster Club and Shiloh American Legion Post 791. He enjoyed mowing grass, fishing, boating, water skiing and antique cars. Robert loved to watch NASCAR and was a big Kyle Busch fan.
He is survived by his son, Troy A. Cox and companion, Melanie Albright of York; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Cox.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Robert’s funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery in York. Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier, pastor of Grace UCC in Hanover.
