Robert D. Flinchbaugh
WINDSOR – Robert D. Flinchbaugh, 70, entered into rest early Thursday morning, July 7, 2022 at his home. He was the husband of the late Dawn A. (Neiman) Flinchbaugh.
Born July 26, 1951 in Lower Windsor Township, he was a son of the late Nevin J. and Mary E. (Eveler) Flinchbaugh.
Robert graduated from Eastern High School in 1969 and was drafted to serve in the U.S. Army in Germany during the VietNam War. He had over 40 years of service for Hogg Construction. In his spare time, he enjoyed construction work for his family. Robert loved traveling, especially to Vermont in the spring for fresh maple syrup and in the fall to enjoy the fall foliage, as well as numerous cruises. He also had a special appreciation for the many hummingbirds he liked to watch in his backyard.
Robert is survived by a son, Seth R. Flinchbaugh of Windsor; five siblings, Phyllis Martin and husband, Rodney, Faye Heal, wife of the late Fred Heal, Jr., Gerald Flinchbaugh and wife, Nancy, Charles Flinchbaugh and wife, Shirley and Larry Flinchbaugh and wife, Beverly, all of York; his father-in-law, Ray Neiman of York; sisters-in-law, Tammy Clemens and husband, Mark and Justine Hughes and husband, Steve, all of York; brother-in-law, Ray Neiman, Jr. and wife, Chris of York; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Flinchbaugh and his wife, Loretta and mother-in-law, Roberta Neiman.
Following cremation, services for Robert will be private at the convenience of the family with interment in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover, is serving his family.
