DILLSBURG – Robert E. “Bob” Harlacher, 78, entered into rest on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at UPMC Harrisburg.  He was the loving husband of Deborah G. (Miller) Harlacher.  The couple celebrated 24 years of marriage on October 10, 2024.

Born July 8, 1946 in York, Bob was the son of the late Clair E. and Virginia M. (Luckenbaugh) Harlacher.

He graduated from Dover High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Bob owned and operated 4 Seasons Turf Care from 1995 until retiring in 2013.  He was previously employed by Precision Custom Components in York.  

Throughout his life, Bob enjoyed competitive indoor roller skating, bowling and racketball; Corvette cars; boating on the Chesapeake Bay; golfing; street rods; hot air balloon rides; working outside in his yard; walks in the neighborhood; building model train layouts; and sitting on the back porch with his wife, Debbie, enjoying their morning coffee.

In addition to his loving wife, Bob is survived by his sisters, Jane Martz and her husband, Ron of Dover and Judy Neal of York; several nieces and nephews; cousins-in-law, Karen Simmons and Mike Miller; and a host of great friends.

Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bob’s memorial service at 11 a.m. and the visitation from 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Private interment will take place in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.  Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier, pastor of Christ U.C.C. in Jefferson.
