YORK – Robert C. Kottmyer, 90, of York, passed away, Sunday, September 10, 2023, at his home in York.  He was the husband of the late I. Jane Kottmyer who passed away, January 6, 2014.

Robert was born December 6, 1932, in York and was the son of the late William and Ethel (Adams) Kottmyer.

He attended Dover High School in Dover.  He was employed by the former Lyon Metals of York and was a self-employed Truck Driver.  He was a member of Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene.  Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955.

Robert is survived by his stepdaughter, Donna Suereth; two step-grandchildren, Amy and Elizabeth; four great grandchildren, Lillian, Paton, Magdalene and Parker, and his brother, Edward Kottmyer and his wife Lynn of Dover.  He was preceded in death by his brother, William Kottmyer and his sister, Barbara Hewitt.

Graveside services for Robert will begin at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Salem Union Cemetery in Dover.  Officiating at his service will be his Pastor Josh Kleinfeld.    Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
