Robert N. Krout

DOVER – Robert N. “Bob” Krout, 74, entered into rest at 6:16 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022 at ProMedica York South.  He was the loving husband of Karen S. (Howard) Krout.  The couple celebrated 52 years of marriage on November 22, 2021.
 
Born August 3, 1947 in York, Bob was a son of the late Charles Krout, Jr. and Phyllis (Williams) Wallick. 

He graduated from Dover High School in 1965 and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.  Bob retired from ABF in Carlisle where he was a truck driver. 

Bob attended St. Stephen’s U.C.C. in York.  He was a member of Teamsters Union.  He enjoyed woodworking, camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. 

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by a daughter, Teresa A. Willders of Dover; two grandchildren, Kayla (Willders) Smith and husband Mike of Manchester and Levi Willders of Dover; three half-sisters; and a half-brother. 

Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bob’s visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. and memorial service directly following at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022 at St. Stephen’s U.C.C., 1569 W. Market St., York.  Veteran’s honors will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.  Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. W. Arthur Grahe.  Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover, is serving the family.
