DOVER – Robert C. Miller, Jr., 77, entered into rest at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at his home.  He was the loving husband of the late Sally Ann Louise (Shaffer) Miller who died on April 6, 2025.  They shared 57 years of marriage.
 
Born April 6, 1948 in Spring Grove, Robert was a son of the late Robert C. and Betty M. (Bailey) Miller, Sr.
 
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War.
 
Robert retired on March 31, 2002 following 30 years of service for Harley Davidson where he worked as a welder and machinist.
 
He was a life member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791 and West Manchester VFW Post 7374 and a member of IAM Local Lodge 175 and York Lodge No. 266 F&AM.  Robert served as National Vice Commander with the American Legion and participated with the York County Veterans Honor Guard for many years.  He enjoyed devoting his time to helping veterans.
 
Robert is survived by his two children, Michelle R. Miller of Dover and Robert C. Miller III and wife, Robin of Irwin; five grandchildren, Quade Morris-Miller(Ashton), Quinn Miller, Holly Nicklow(Cory), Jade Miller and Clayton Morris; six grandchildren, Clayton, Simon, Gwendolyn, Layla, Magnolia and Piper; two brothers, John Miller of Dover and Randy Miller of York; and a sister, Bonnie Stover of York.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Miller.
 
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Robert’s funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Burial will follow in Suburban Memorial Gardens, Dover, where veteran’s honors will be presented by York County Veterans Honor Guard.  Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier, pastor of Christ U.C.C. in Jefferson.
