DOVER – Ronald LeRoy Botterbusch, 87, went home to his Lord and Savior at 9:13 a.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020 at his home.  He was the loving husband of Norma J. (Bowles) Botterbusch.  The couple celebrated 58 years of marriage on October 27, 2020.
 
Born May 20, 1933 in York, Ronald was a son of the late Walter LeRoy and Grace Elmira (Wolgamuth) Botterbusch.
 
He entered into the U.S. Navy in 1951, during his senior year of high school, and served during the Korean War.  In 1976, at the age of 43, Ronald went back into the classrooms of Dover Area High School and completed his high school degree. In 1962 he graduated from The Bowman Technical School in Lancaster.
 
Ronald was a watchmaker and along with his wife owned and operated Botterbusch Jewelry in Dover for 53 years, retiring in January 2019.
 
He was a life member of Harmony Grove Community Church in Dover. Ronald was a charter member of NAWCC; AWCI; a former vice president of Dover Borough Council; a co-founder of Greater Dover Historical Society and Dover Recreation Board; also a member Union Fire & Hose Co. #1, Dover, Dover Jaycees, DAV, VFW and TREA.
 
In addition to his wife, Norma, Ronald is lovingly remembered by two sons, Timothy C. Botterbusch and wife, Jessica of Schroon Lake, NY and Mark Botterbusch of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Glenda Lentz and husband, Bradley of Dover; six grandchildren, Dorothy, Amelia, Katie Mae and Michael Botterbusch and Taylor and Mackenzie Lentz; and a great grandchild, Skai Michael Lentz.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Daniel and David Botterbusch.
 
A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held at a later date.  Emig Funeral Home, Dover, is serving his family.
