Ronald E. Rife

DOVER – Ronald E. Rife, 86, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at his home.  He was the husband of the late Catherine B. (Dekowski) Rife.

Born August 24, 1935 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Glenn B. and Jean M. (Shade) Rife.

Ronald served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956-1960.  He retired in 1985 following 25 years of service for Chevron, previously Gulf Oil.

He was member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791, West York VFW Post 8951 and the Viking Athletic Association.  Ronald was a former deer and turkey hunter.  He enjoyed watching and feeding the wildlife outside his home and was an avid dog-lover.

Ronald is survived by his step-sons, Eric C. Rambo and wife, Pamela of Cibolo, TX and John R. Rambo of San Diego, CA; grandsons, Joshua C. Rambo and Donovan L. Rambo; brother, James Rife and wife, Judy of Tacoma, WA; nephew, Andrew Rife; and niece, Julie Mullins.

There are no services.  Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover, is serving Ronald’s family.
