Ronald Eugene Snell went to be with the Lord on June 10th, 2022 at 10:40 am at his residence. He was surrounded by family and friends. He was born in York, Pa on July 20th 1957 to the late Clair W. Snell, and his living mother Geraldine L. Snell of York, Pa.
Ron Graduated from York Vo-tech in 1975 and joined the US Navy shortly after. Ron worked as a body and Paint man for Eater and Starz body shop which became Jack Giambalvo for over 20 years. Ron also worked for Brothers Trucking in Manchester, Pa. for several years. Ron later became a licensed Auctioneer and called at The Auction House of Dover and Mt. Royal Auction house. His latest position was manager of the Dover gun shop in Dover, Pa. He was an avid hunter and loved going to his cabin in Carrolltown, Pa. He enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles, Tractors, and working on his Mustangs, restoring several over the years.
Ron was the President of Olde Tyme Days, Dover for over 10 years and was just re-instated as President prior to his death. Ron was also a Game warden for the State of Pa for several years.
Ron leaves behind his Fiance’, Lisa Malley of Etters, Pa. Ron leaves behind 5 children. Heather Leon of York, Pa., Matthew Snell of Dover, Pa., Brandi Branigan of York, Pa., Travis Snell of Steelton, Pa., Rachel Snell of York, Pa. Ron also has 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Ron was preceded in death by his Daughter Victoria A. Snell and his Father Clair W. Snell.
A celebration of life will be held at Ron’s church—Pinchot Park Assembly of God, Wellsville, Pa. on Friday July 8th beginning with a service at 4:00pm followed by reception at 5:00 pm.
