Rosemary Hansen

YORK – Rosemary Hansen, 80, went home to be with the Lord at 11:48 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at York North Nursing & Rehab in York.  She was the wife of the late Edd George Hansen of White Marsh, Maryland.

Born January 5, 1946 in Jamestown, NY, Rosemary was a daughter of the late Frank and Arlene (Grover) Capizzi.

She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1963. Rosemary was a homemaker and later worked with her husband who was a bricklayer and manager. She loved their time working side-by-side and enjoyed traveling with him all over the world. She was also involved with Edd in leading their neighborhood's HOA.

She is survived by her son, Kurt D. Anderson and wife, Rachael L. Anderson of Dover; three grandchildren, Garrett A. Anderson, Liam E. Anderson and Sawyer J. Anderson; and a brother, Don Eidens.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Stefanelli and brother, Bob Capizzi.

Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Rosemary’s memorial service at 3:00 on Saturday, June 20th, 2026 and the visitation from 2:00 to 3:00 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Officiating will be Jay DuSold and Rick Gerhart.
