Roy L. Wilt

DOVER – Roy L. Wilt, 89, entered into rest at 10:49 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Hanover Hall for Nursing and Rehabilitation.  He was the husband of the late Elizabeth S. “Betsy” (Zelinsky) Wilt who died on October 2, 2021.  They had been married 60 years.

Born July 23, 1935 in York, Roy was a son of the late Luther and Mary (Delp) Wilt.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Precision Components Corporation where he was a welder.  Roy enjoyed rebuilding tractors and most of all, spending time with his family.

He is survived by two sons, Shawn L. Wilt and Todd L. Wilt and wife, Christine, all of Dover; two granddaughters, Amanda (Wilt) Duke and her husband, Brad, and Amelia Wilt; three great grandchildren, Bowman, Jameson and Willow; and a brother, Lonnie Wilt and wife, Pat of Dover.  In addition to his wife and parents, Roy was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brittney.

Following cremation, services will be at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. in Dover.
