WELLSVILLE – Ruthanna Mae (Walton) Krout, 93, of Wellsville, PA passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021, at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York.

Born November 25, 1927, to the late Adam and Lottie (Anderson) Walton.  Ruth was a lifetime resident of Wellsville, PA.

Ruth enjoyed playing cards, (and winning), sitting on her porch bird watching and sharing stories from her earlier years.  She was a strong-willed, spit fire spirit with lots of love and wisdom to share.  She will be greatly missed by her family and all those that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Ruth was preceded in death by her 3 brothers; 2 sister and her husband of 41 years, Gene T. Krout.    She is survived by her sister, Raejean Little, her only living sibling; 4 daughters, Donna Jordan, Judy Gross, Debbie Helf, Susan Miller and their spouses; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

At Ruth’s request, there will be no services.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Dover.
