Sandra L. Gracey

DOVER – Sandra L. (Anderson) Gracey, 67, entered into rest Friday night, October 25, 2024 at UPMC Memorial Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Melvin E. Gracey, Sr., who died February 25, 2023.  They shared 49 years of marriage.

Born December 31, 1956 in York, Sandra was a daughter of the late Lester and Pearl (Anderson) Anderson. 

She graduated from Northeastern High School in 1974.  Over the years, she worked at Spangler’s Grocery Store, Stauffer’s Grocery Store, Raycom Electronics and Lincoln Woods.  Sandra enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles and going to pottery shops.

She is survived by two sons, Melvin E. Gracey, Jr. and wife, Danielle and Brian L. Gracey, all of Dover; a daughter, Michele A. Smith and husband, Matt of Glen Rock; three grandchildren, Austin, Kelsey and Melanie; four great grandchildren, Lauren, Maxwell, Clayton and Memphis; a sister, Shirley Keefer of Dover and a brother, Mike Anderson of New Cumberland.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel S. Gracey, two sisters and two brothers.

As per Sandra’s wishes, services will be private, with burial in Salem Union Cemetery in Dover.  Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover, is serving her family.
