Sherryl L. Runkle
DOVER – Sherryl L. (Lowe) Runkle, 66, entered into rest early Saturday morning, July 13, 2024 at her home. She was the loving wife of John H. Runkle. The couple celebrated 41 years of marriage on May 14, 2024.
Born December 13, 1957 in York, she was a daughter of the late Donald Lowe and Carolyn (Hawkins) Anstine and step-daughter of the late William Anstine.
Sherryl graduated from Dallastown High School in 1975 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from York College where she was a member of the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority since 1978.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing games and crafting. Most of all, Sherryl was a social butterfly who loved spending time with her family and friends. She looked forward to going out for breakfast with her friends and liked to keep her calendar full of other activities with them as well. She had a love of Country music, especially the band Alabama. Sherryl adored her beloved cats, Leo and Luna, grandpups, Blake, Opie and Gunner and grandcat, Harvest. She always made sure to keep them stocked with treats.
In addition to her husband, Sherryl is survived by her children, Zac R. Runkle of Dover and Chelsea C. Runkle, wife of the late Tyler Miller, of Hellam; sister, Stephanie Miller of Dallastown; and a large extended family, including numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
