Shirley Ann Lucabaugh

DOVER – Shirley Ann (Benedick) Lucabaugh, 75, entered into rest at 3:10 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Providence Place in Dover.  She was the wife of the late Lowell L. Lucabaugh.

Born May 29, 1946 in Strinestown, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy (Kern) Benedick.

Shirley graduated in 1964 from Northeastern High School and attended Empire Beauty School.  She retired from CSI Services in York and was previously employed by McCrory Corporation and Finishing Systems & Keener Coatings.

Shirley enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking.  She was known for her delicious pumpkin roll.

Shirley is survived by three daughters, Melissa A. Benton and husband, Dennis, Jr. of Dover, Karen S. Costello and husband, Mark Surber of Bethlehem and Marianne L. Harkins and husband, Russell III of York; and three grandchildren, Daniel Benton, Samantha Moschonas and Russell Harkins IV.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria Kahler and Fay Potteiger.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Shirley’s funeral at 2 p.m. and the viewing from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Burial will follow in Salem Union Cemetery in Dover.  Officiating will be Pastor Matthew Sandorfi, pastor of Cornerstone Bible Church, Dover.
