Stanley K. Weister

DOVER – Stanley K. Weister, 68, of Dover, passed away, Saturday, February 5, 2022, at York Hospital.  He was the husband of Jeanne M. (Troup) Weister, who he married 41 years ago on September 6, 1980.

Stanley was born May 29, 1953, in Ridgeway, PA and was the son of Marguerite (Henry) Weister of York and the late Stanley Weister, Jr.

He graduated in 1971 from Central High School in York and later from Williamsport College in Williamsport.  He was employed as a truck and trailer mechanic for Penske.  Previously he was employed by Consolidated Freightways.  He was an avid fisherman and loved going to races at Susquehanna Speedway.  He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Hanover.

In addition to his wife, and mother, Stanley is survived by his daughters, Laura Massa and her husband, Mike of Gaithersburg, MD and Amanda Myers and her husband, Andy of Hanover; 3 grandchildren, Easton, Sarah and Lucas; and his sister, Darla Stover and her husband, Ron Boyer of Red Lion.  Stanley was preceded in death by his daughter, Holly Weister.

Stanley’s funeral service will begin at 7:00 PM, Friday, February 11, 2022, at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 47 North Queen Street, Dover.  Viewing will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will be private.  Officiating at the service will be his pastor, Reverend Todd Christine.
