Tanya G. Yost

DOVER – Tanya G. Yost, 63, entered into rest Thursday morning, June 23, 2022 at her home.  She was the loving wife of Bradford S. Yost.  The couple celebrated 26 years of marriage on August 1, 2021.

Born January 18, 1959 in York, Tanya was a daughter of Gary Firestone and Marvel (Eisenhart) Firestone, both of Dover.

Tanya was a 1976 graduate of Dover Area High School and went on to earn a Radiology Certificate from York Hospital.   She worked as an x-ray technician in the orthopedic, women’s health and urology fields.   More recently she worked as a medical transcriptionist and in home health care.

Tanya loved Jesus and most recently had been attending Church of the Open Door.   Prior she had been an active member of Dover Bethany UMC where she was involved in various ministries, including Stephen’s Ministry where she would visit church shut-ins.   Tanya enjoyed taking vacations with her family, sitting on the back porch with friends, exercising, walking, gardening and wine making.   However, her greatest passion in life was her children and grandchildren.  

In addition to her husband and parents, Tanya is survived by a son, Matthew G. Firestone and wife, Kristin of Dover; a daughter, Laura M. Looks and husband, Levi of Dover; two step-sons, Jason P. Yost of Lancaster and Justin K. Yost of Dover; six grandchildren, Olivia, Sawyer, River, Cora, Roman and Kade; and three brothers, Kelly Firestone, Jon Firestone and Chad Firestone, all of Dover.

Following cremation, a private service for Tanya will be held at the convenience of the family.  Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover, is serving her family.
