Ted R. Coons
DOVER – Ted Ranney Coons, 55, entered into rest at 7:17 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy. He was the loving husband of Tina M. (Dittenhafer) Coons. They celebrated nine years of marriage on June 25, 2024.
Born January 11, 1969 in York, Ted was a son of Richard M. and Linda J. (Wagner) Coons, Sr. of York.
He graduated from Northeastern High School in 1987 and had 23 years of service for Pre-Mach, Inc. where he was a machinist. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and snowmobiling.
In addition to his wife and parents, Ted is survived by his step-children, Brandon Noll of York, Natasha Friese and husband, Dustin of Red Lion and Nashea Watson and husband, Alex of Dover; thirteen step-grandchildren who affectionately called him “Pappy Ted”; a brother, R. Michael Coons, Jr. and wife, Lisa of York; a sister, Wendy Karrasch and husband, Chris of Carlisle; his mother-in-law, Anita Dittenhafer of York; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Tucker.
Following cremation, a memorial celebration will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. in Dover.
