Thomas C. Gotwalt, Jr.
YORK – Thomas C. “Tom” Gotwalt, Jr., 65, entered into rest unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at his cabin in Juniata County. He was the loving husband of Debbie A. (Wilt) Gotwalt. The couple celebrated 41 years of marriage on August 25, 2020.
Born February 6, 1956 in Highlands, New York, he was a son of the late Juanita R. (Newcomer) Nispel and Charles “Nitty” Nispel.
Tom graduated from York Vo-Tech in 1974 where he studied woodworking. He owned and operated T & T Seafood in York. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed woodworking, building boats and homes. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by a daughter, Tammy L. Flohr and husband, James of Aspers; a son, Thomas C. Gotwalt III and wife, Nicole of York; four grandchildren, Grace and Caleb Flohr and Mazie and Madison Gotwalt; three sisters, Rhonda Murray and husband, Leroy of Manchester, Dawn Grube of York and Charlene Reeser and husband, Kerry of York Haven; his dear friends, Mr. & Mrs. William Yohe of York and Mr. & Mrs. Edward Coeyman of Dover; and his beloved fur companion, Driefus.
Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a service to celebrate Tom’s life at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at New Life Assembly of God, 2136 Baltimore Pike, East Berlin. Officiating will be Pastor Joel Everhart. Emig Funeral Home, Dover, is serving his family.
