Thomas Al Hartman
DOVER – Thomas Al Hartman, 62, entered into rest unexpectedly Monday morning, June 12, 2023 at his home. He was the loving husband of Dianne E. (Shelly) Hartman, whom he adored. The couple would have been married for 36 years on June 19, 2023.
Born September 3, 1960 in Reading, Tom was the son of the late Kenneth A. Hartman and Barbara (Arnold) Heckman.
Tom had 40 years of service in the vending industry and worked for Canteen Vending Services in Harrisburg since 2005.
Tom drove race car #32 and raced in Road Warriors, Street Stock and Pro Stock. He was an Eagle Scout and scout leader for Troop 37. Tom enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He was a man of great conversation who always had a story to tell.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his two daughters, Amy Atrice Hartman of Marlin and Anngel A. Hartman of Pine Grove; three grandsons, TSgt Jaecob Thomas McGinn, US Air Force, Michael A. Nahodil and David L. Nahodil; sister, Judy Hartman of Belleville, MI; and his beloved cats, Jetta and Brady.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Tom's funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Suburban Memorial Gardens, Dover. Officiating will be Chaplain Ken Rummel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to York County S.P.C.A., 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
