Tim A. Kurtz

THOMASVILLE – Tim A. Kurtz, 58, entered into rest at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at his home.  He was the loving husband of Cheryl A. (Kephart) Kurtz.  The couple celebrated 38 years of marriage on April 5, 2023.

Born November 14, 1964 in York, Tim was a son of the late Barry L. Kurtz and Coralie A. (Watson) Ingoe.

He was employed by Airgas, previously Dressel’s, in East York.

Tim was a member of Bermudian Church – Covenant Brethren in East Berlin.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking and raising animals.  However, there was nothing better than his grandkids.

In addition to his wife, Tim is survived by three children, Barry L. Kurtz and wife, Cathy of York, Kate N. Livingston and husband, Paul of East Berlin and Debra A. Markel and husband, Patrick of Spring Grove; seven grandchildren; sister-in-law, Amy Kurtz; sister-in-law, Kim Shearer and her husband, Rick of Thomasville; and his cousin, Pip Watson and wife, Scheila of Colorado.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a great grandchild and his brother, Jim E. Kurtz.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Tim’s funeral at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Bermudian Church – Covenant Brethren, 279 Bermudian Church Rd., East Berlin.  Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York.  Officiating will be Pastor Gary Firster.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
