Tyler E. Latchaw
DOVER – Tyler E. Latchaw, 22, entered into rest unexpectedly on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at his home.
Born September 30, 1998 in York, he was a son of Charles D. and Billie Jo (Hartman) Latchaw, Jr. of Dover.
Tyler graduated from Northern York High School in 2018, as well as a trade program at Cumberland Perry Vo-Tech. He was currently employed by Tooling Dynamics, Inc. in York, where he was a tool and die maker apprentice.
Tyler enjoyed farming and was a farm helper for Bob Updike since the age of 12 at Fluffy U Fiber Farms. He was a member of FFA in high school and had a special appreciation for John Deere Tractors. Tyler also enjoyed hunting, riding four wheelers and motorbikes and was very mechanically inclined. He was an all-around country boy who was loved by so many.
In addition to his parents, Tyler is survived by two sisters, Samantha Latchaw and her boyfriend, Daniel Myers of Manchester and Megan Nelson and husband, Mike of Suffolk, VA; a brother, Bryan Latchaw of Dover; two nephews, Carson Nelson and Wyatt Myers; paternal grandmother, Gloria V. Latchaw of Dover; numerous aunts and uncles: Michelle Markle and husband, Lonnie, Skeeter Hartman and wife, Rene, Michael Hartman and wife, Sis, David Hartman and wife, Lori, Bonnie Wissler and husband, Sean, Robin Hetrich, Mike Latchaw and wife, Sue , Ron Latchaw and wife, Karen, and Fred Shank; numerous cousins; his girlfriend, Alianna “Ali” Dellinger; and his God-brother, Garrett Updike. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Melvin E. Hartman, Sr. and Anna Mae Fuhrman; paternal grandfather, Charles D. Latchaw, Sr.; aunt, Judy Shank; and uncle, Eugene Stover, Jr.
Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation for Tyler from 2 to 4 p.m. followed by the memorial service at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Officiating will be family friend, Pastor Tom Myers. Following Tyler's memorial service, there will be a celebration of life at Union Fire Company No. 1, 201 York St., Manchester.
