Wayne C. Weber, Sr.

DOVER - Wayne C. “Red” Weber, Sr., 91, entered into rest at 7:36 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Providence Place in Dover.  He was the husband of the late Judy S. (Slothower) Weber to whom he was married for 33 years.

Born December 5, 1932 in Harrisburg, Wayne was a son of the late John and Mary (Smith) Weber.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.  Wayne was a truck driver for Jones Motor and member of the Teamsters Union.  He was a member of St. David’s E.C. Church and the church’s men’s chorus, Solid Rock.

Wayne is survived by his son, Wayne C. Weber, Jr. of Camp Hill; two step-sons, Michael L. Brenneman and wife, Barbara of Wisconsin and James B. Brenneman and wife, Beverly of Dover; and four step- grandchildren, Brian Brenneman and wife, Julie, Alyssa Daugherty and husband Chris, Gretchen Tankersley and husband, Shane, and Tiffany Amolsh and husband, Dan; and 11 step great-grandchildren.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Sylvester Weber and two sisters, Marie Kraybill and Georgie Mentzer.

Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Wayne’s memorial service at 11 a.m. and the visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at St. David’s E.C. Church, 2411 Oakland Rd., Dover.  Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. N. Patrick Teaford.  Burial will be private in Warrington Friends Cemetery in Wellsville.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. in Dover.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. David’s E.C. Church, 2411 Oakland Rd., Dover, PA 17315.
