Wetzel B. Robertson, Jr.
SPRING GROVE – Wetzel B. Robertson, Jr., 56, entered into rest early Friday, January 7, 2022 at WellSpan York Hospital. He was the loving husband of Michelle A. (Zimmerman) Robertson. The couple celebrated 30 years of marriage on June 1, 2021.
Born October 1, 1965 in Baltimore, he was a son of Wetzel B. and Barbara A. (Tenne) Robertson, Sr. of York.
Wetzel served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by BAE Systems in York where he was a plumber/pipe fitter.
A man of God, Wetzel cherished time with his family and traveling with his adored wife. He was a talented musician, singer, and songwriter who wrote songs for special moments including his children’s birth and family members’ weddings. He loved to ride motorcycles/bicycles, upgrading his home and the outdoors. He was a member of Jefferson Sportsmen’s Association, the American Legion and was a HOG member. One of his most memorable sayings was: “influence hearts and change minds” and during his life, he did just that.
In addition to his wife and parents, Wetzel is survived by a son, Cole S. Robertson and wife, Megan of Dover; a daughter, Jade A. Robertson of Spring Grove; a brother, Steven C. Robertson of York; his father and mother-in-law, George and Ginger Zimmerman of Fayetteville; and a multitude of friends and acquaintances. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Nathanael Zimmerman.
