William H. Klunk
DOVER – William H. "Bud" Klunk, 92, entered into rest at 2:23 a.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in York. He was the husband of the late Maxine F. (Gentzler) Klunk. They were married 68 years.
Born July 27, 1928 in York, Bud was a son of the late Lewis M. and Garphelia V. (Abken) Klunk.
He graduated from York High School in 1946 and worked as a carpenter and was part owner of LM Klunk & Sons General Contractor, Inc. in York. Bud retired in 1986.
He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Dover and Dover Lions Club.
Bud loved carpentry and wood carving.
Bud is survived by his children, Thomas M. Klunk and wife, Sharon of Dover, Timothy N. Klunk and wife, Barbara of York and Tammy F. Klunk of Lewisberry; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lewis S. Klunk.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bud’s viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 9 N. Main St., Dover. His graveside service will begin at approximately 11:30 a.m. in Salem Union Cemetery, 2705 W. Canal Rd., Dover. Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. Abby Leese.
